The scope of the ITA NCPeH-Ter – “Expansion of MyHealth@EU” in Italy to provide new cross-border health services project is to:  

• Develop and deploy an infrastructure that could integrate new services (medical images reports, hospital discharge reports and laboratory reports).  

• Ensure the maintenance and geographical extension of ePrescriptions and Patient summaries as country A and country B. 

At the end of the project, foreseen in may 2028, Italy will be able to provide: 

As country A (for its Italian citizens): 

• A comprehensive set of documents (exchange of eP/eD, PS, OrCD, hospital discharge letters, imaging report and lab results) which can be potentially exchanged with other operational NCPeHs at EU level 

• Possibility to extend this serve not only in the regions involved in the project but also at national level 

• Information on the new services, through dissemination and information materials available on all relevant national websites 

As country B (for EU citizens in need of medical care in Italy): 

• Enable at least five PoCs – Points of Care in the regions involved in the project (Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia-Giulia and Veneto) 
• Inform Health Professionals on the possibility of exchange the following services hospital discharge letters, imaging report and lab results with other operational NCPeHs 
• Inform foreign citizens about these services, through the creation of informative materials
